Casey Thomas, Principal

It is a tremendous honor and blessing to serve as principal of Annunciation Catholic School. Annunciation has always been much more than a school to me, it is home. As an alumna, lifelong parishioner of Annunciation Catholic Church, and parent of three ACS students, I have experienced firsthand the faith, tradition, and strong sense of community that make our school so special.

Before becoming principal, I had the privilege of serving as Annunciation's Curriculum Director and Assistant Principal, in addition to teaching in multiple grade levels throughout my career in education. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University in 2011 and my Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Mississippi State University in 2021. As a Columbus native, my roots in this community run deep. My father was a member of one of the school's earliest classes, my sisters and I proudly graduated from ACS, and today my three sons continue our family's legacy as third-generation Annunciation Eagles.

My passion has always been helping children discover their God-given potential while fostering a love of learning rooted in the Catholic faith. I believe education is about forming the whole child, mind, body, and spirit, and creating an environment where every student feels known, loved, challenged, and supported. Working alongside our dedicated faculty and staff, I am committed to providing an academically excellent education while nurturing faith, character, and a lifelong desire to serve others.

It is a privilege to partner with our families and parish in this important mission. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead Annunciation Catholic School and look forward to continuing our tradition of faith, excellence, and community for generations to come.
