Good Afternoon Annunciation Catholic School Families,

Bishop Joseph Kopacz and Cathy Cook, Superintendent, conferred today regarding the recent executive order of Governor Reeves to close public schools across the state. They decided that it is in the best interest for the common good in our communities across the Diocese of Jackson that our Catholic Schools remain closed through April 17th. They will continue to monitor information regarding COVID-19, as well as, the recommendations and directives of national, state, and local government officials. You will be notified as additional decisions are made regarding our school.

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 progression in our state, learning will continue virtually and/or via tangible packets. Here is a list of how learning will take place:

Teachers will be contacting you with more details including how to get needed resources. Those classes utilizing FACTS Learning Management System (LMS) will include details on how to access LMS along with username and password information. Please contact your child's teacher if you have not received their individual log-in information. Please visit the parent tab at the top of the screen to go to the DISTANCE LEARNING page and there is access to links there.
Just a reminder this not an extension of spring break. Teachers and students are expected to be "reporting" for school on a daily basis, even if it is virtually or packets. Thank you for your continued support.  Keep doing your part to protect yourself and others by practicing social distancing.

In order to continue to do our part to slow the spread of COVID - 19, we have decided to cancel our 2020 Draw Down fundraiser event. According to the CDC and the ordinances put in place by the City of Columbus, no gatherings of ten or more individuals should take place until further notice. Those of you who have already purchased your tickets, thank you! You have several options for redemption of these tickets:
1. During these hard times we will happily accept your ticket purchase as a donation toward our school development fund, which you will receive an acknowledgment for from our Development
Office.
2. Your ticket purchase can be applied to existing tuition balance.
3. Your ticket purchase can be carried over for next year's Draw Down.

Unless we hear from you, your ticket purchase will be considered a donation. If you would like to choose options #2 or #3, please contact Jennifer Schippel at [email protected] no later than April 15th.

We continue to pray for healing and look forward to the time we can all be together again and continue our long standing-traditions.

Join us for our annual middle school musical. This year our students will be presenting Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. under the direction of our fabulous theater teacher, Mrs. Celsie Staggers. These students have been working on their parts, costumes, and props all year long. You will not believe how incredibly talented our middle school students are until you see it for yourself. This event is open to the public and family friendly! Tickets can be purchased at the door of the ACS gymnasium on the night of the performance. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

*ACS students who attend either performance will receive a uniform pass for Monday, March 30th.

Due to the recent sinkhole that has developed on the south end of Gardner BLVD., our regular drop off/dismissal route has changed. Please see the suggested route for drop off and dismissal for the next few days/week.
You will still enter the drop off/pick up line from Maxwell Lane.

Please join us for our Open House for prospective families on Saturday, February 1st from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Open House is an excellent time to visit our school and meet our staff. Spots will fill up quickly for the 2020-2021 school year. You don't want to miss it!
