School Counselor: Leslie Jones

Greetings! My name is Leslie (Sanchez) Jones and this will be my 3rd year as the School Counselor at Annunciation Catholic School. I am a graduate of University of Oregon where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Pepperdine University where I received my Master of Arts in Psychology.

I developed a love for working with families and children when I worked for a women’s homeless shelter in Los Angeles for many years. Once I moved to Mississippi, I worked for Community Counseling Services before ending up at our #unicornschool.

As the School Counselor, my goal is to support your child’s education. Here at Annunciation Catholic School we have a holistic view of children, appreciating the many variables that make for a successful student. My role is to advocate for the students and be the ally of parents during their child’s PK-8th grade education. Like physical health, cultivating good mental health practices in our children will ensure they are ready for the rigors of high school and beyond after leaving ACS.

As a fellow ACS parent, I am thrilled that students can seek social emotional support, study skills, help with time management, help with organizational skills, and other services. I sincerely wish every student the very best, and look forward to working with them every day.
