Pre K 3
At Annunciation Catholic School, our Pre-K 3 classroom is a joyful and faith-filled environment where learning happens through play, exploration, and imagination.
Our day begins in a warm and inviting classroom setting with tables, chairs, and a cozy carpet area where we gather for Morning Meeting. This special time includes songs, dancing, prayers, and engaging read-aloud stories that help us build community and start the day with joy and purpose.
We also enjoy large group learning and sensory play, exploring textures, sounds, and materials that spark curiosity and creativity.
After Morning Meeting, the children move into our playroom—a vibrant space filled with opportunities for hands-on, play-based learning. Here, students freely rotate through a variety of engaging centers at their own pace. Each center is thoughtfully labeled and designed to support early learning skills:
- Science/Math Center – exploring, measuring, sorting, and discovering the world around us
• Writing Center – building early literacy skills through drawing and writing
• Dramatic Play & Library Center – sparking imagination and social play through storytelling and role-play
• Puzzles and Playdough Center – strengthening problem-solving and fine-motor skills
• Block Center – encouraging creativity, teamwork, and spatial awareness
Throughout our day, we pray together and learn to love, share, and care for one another—growing as a true classroom family. We celebrate God’s love through prayer, song, and story, nurturing both hearts and minds.
Every week brings thematic units filled with magical moments of discovery—painting, building, laughing, and learning side by side. In our classroom, play is the pathway to learning, and faith is the foundation for everything we do.
