Staff Spotlight of the Week

Staff Spotlight of the Week is visual arts teacher, Katie McDill. This is Katie's second year at ACS. She is an ACS alumna herself! She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from MUW in 2005, and this is her 13th year to teach visual arts.

Staff Spotlight of the Week

Staff Spotlight of the Week is 7th grade homeroom and middle school science teacher, Rebekah Hamric. This is Rebekah's second year as part of the Annunciation Catholic Family. This is her seventh year teaching. She previously taught biology for five years in public high school, which has allowed her to help our middle school students with their transition to high school academics. She is a Columbus native, and graduated from New Hope High School. She has Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s of Education from Mississippi University for Women.

Staff Spotlight of the Week

Staff Spotlight of the Week is 5th grade teacher, Morgan Bergeron. Morgan teaches 5th grade math, science, and religion. This is her second year at ACS, and first year to teach 5th grade. She is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, where she attended the University of Louisiana and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, with an add-on in Elementary Education, certifying her for prek-fifth grade. Morgan and her husband moved to Columbus in the summer of 2017 with her husband's job, where she discovered ACS and began as an inclusion teacher shortly thereafter.

Draw Down 2019

Tickets are $100 and each ticket admits two adults (21 and older) and includes: dinner catered by Huck's restaurant, live music by Win-wheel, open bar, and a chance to win $10,000. Second chance insurance is also available. Only 300 tickets will be sold. Tickets can be purchased from the school office, scrip box, or any ACS advisory board member. 

Parent Incentive: If you would like to sell event tickets, contact Katie Fenstermacher. For every two event tickets you sell, you will receive one hour of volunteer credit. There will also be other opportunities to volunteer. Please be on the lookout for more info.

Spring Picture Day

Optional spring pictures will be taken on Friday, March 22nd. Spring pictures are typically taken in non-uniform clothes. If you are planning to purchase spring pictures, your child does not have to wear a uniform on March 22nd. Siblings can be photographed together. If you would like your children photographed together, please make a note in their planners.

Staff Spotlight of the Week

Staff Spotlight of the week is 4th grade teacher, April Moore. April has been with ACS for five years. She has been teaching for 13 years at many different grade levels.  Her teaching career began at FBC Kindergarten in Houston MS, where she taught for six years. She completed the MATM program at Mississippi State University where she received her master's degree in Middle Level Education. April also has a certification for differentiated learning through Harvard University online, and is involved in teaching other educators throughout the year with MUW's ECET2 - GT program.

Staff Spotlight of the Week

Staff Spotlight of the week is first grade teacher, Shaine Donoho. Shaine graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 2006 with a degree in Elementary Education. This is her seventh year to teach first grade. She and her family have a special love for ACS because her son graduated with ACS's first 8th grade class.
