Librarian:
My name is Lacey Sherman and this is my nineteenth year at ACS and twentieth year teaching. I graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 2003 with a B.S. in Elementary Education (K-8; Highly Qualified in English and History 7-12; Media Librarian). I previously taught for eleven years in the Columbus Municipal School District (one year at Hunt Intermediate and ten years at Lee Middle/Columbus Middle School).
I am very excited about my new role as librarian, as it has been a dream of mine for quite some time. My goal in the library is to expose our kids to as many great books as possible, to foster a love of reading, and to help our reluctant readers find books that will lead them to become avid readers!
I would love to add more great books to our library in all grade levels; I would especially love to expand our diverse books so that all students have representation in our library. If you would like to help, I would love for you to take a look at my Amazon wish list and if you feel led, donate a book to our library!
I can’t wait to begin another great year at ACS!
